Red Goat Studio is located in Wilton, Wisconsin. Our two story brick building was built in 1908 and used as a general store. It's the perfect size for a photo studio and workshop where we fabricate our own frames and other items.
Aldis Strazdins studied film and video at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and was the principal at two graphic design firms before moving to Wilton. With this latest project, he is returning to a time when there was a true appreciation of photography and its historic processes.
In today's world of digital imagery, there is something satisfying about being actively engaged in the process of image making and being able to hold the final result in your own hands. This is what drives Aldis to experiment with wet plate collodion and other alternative photo processes. We invite you to visit the studio and experience it for yourself!
